Odd Day Off

So, since becoming unemployed, I’ve developed a sort of daily plan.  I don’t like the idea of sitting here at home watching Netflix all day long while my husband works.  Also, doing stuff tends to turn off the worry, at least for a while.  I have my daily schedule posted on the inside of my kitchen cupboards.  I check items off daily.  Today is errand and dusting day.  I should have gotten up at 5 and, when my husband left for work, started dusting.

But my husband didn’t leave for work.  He’s going to have a rear tire put on his motorcycle today, so he has the day off.  Which means I woke up at nearly nine in the morning.  I feel kind of gross and lazy, like a very cold snake.  I can’t get motivated to do anything.  Except eat.  And watch Netflix.  And I decided, if I’m going to sit here and be a scumbag today, the least I could do is…something.  Just, you know, anything productive.  Anything at all.  So I’m going through my magazine hoard.

Somehow, I just can’t seem to get rid of magazines.  Can’t do it.  I feel like that one article or picture that I like will be forgotten.  So I’m stacking them up, from all the odd corners of the house – the bathrooms and the “entertainment center,” which is really just a giant crap pile.  I’m gathering them up, cutting them up, and keeping all those random pictures, articles, recipes and minutiae that keep me from getting rid of the dusty old things.

As I go through the hoard, I’m coming up with some really cool things I want to share with the world.  Eventually there will be a link at the top for all the “Cool Stuff” I would love the world to know about.  Spreadin’ the word.  Cleanin’ the house.

Watchin’ the Netflix.  Mmmhmm.  Lazy Wednesday.
